Skanfil ( skanfil.no ) is an auction and online store specializing in collectibles. With roots dating back to 1976 and a burning commitment to the joy of collecting, Skanfil offers a unique assortment of stamps, coins, banknotes, art, jewelry, antiques and design. Stamps remain the company's largest category, and every week thousands of customers bid on new items through their online auctions.
From the head office in Haugesund with branches in Trondheim, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Sarpsborg and Denmark – Skanfil sends over 130,000 packages annually to collectors at home and abroad.
Last year, Skanfil entered into a three-year operating agreement with EMP Secure, a partnership that aims to protect both employees and the organization against the ever-increasing cyber threats and data breaches. This agreement includes the implementation of a secure operating solution in the cloud and a significant improvement in the security of Skanfil's machine fleet.
"This collaboration gives Skanfil the peace of mind they need to focus on growth and delivering quality to their customers, while we ensure that their IT operations are in place and protected against the increasingly sophisticated threats out there."
Hans Erling Bjelland, Customer Success Manager
Harald Veland, Product Manager at Skanfil, says: "We are very pleased with this agreement that will strengthen our security infrastructure and protect our valuable data assets. This is an important step to ensure that we can continue to grow as an organization while maintaining the highest possible security for our employees and our technology."
With these measures in place, Skanfil looks forward to a future of increased security, stability and safe operations. The partnership with EMP Secure gives them the necessary security for further growth, while allowing them to focus on delivering quality to their customers and auction participants.
On a general basis, EMP Secure will recommend our customers to consider a binding of seat-based licenses so that the announced price increase is postponed for up to 12 months.
Details of the changes can be found below.
SPLA is a licensing program that enables service providers (such as EMP Secure) to license Microsoft products to their customers. We are talking here about all licenses that are used as part of the services EMP Secure delivers from its own infrastructure / cloud solution.
Microsoft announces 5-10% price increase on SPLA licenses from January 1, 2022. The changes apply globally, include academic use and apply to the following licenses:
CSP is a licensing program that enables partners (such as EMP Secure) to deliver Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 services to their customers. We are talking here about all licenses used as part of the services EMP Secure provides from Microsoft's infrastructure / cloud solution.
Microsoft announces price increase for Microsoft 365 and Office 365 from March 1, 2022. These changes apply to the following products:
All seat-based products and services that until today have been covered by the CSP program will now instead be included in Microsoft's new program called New Commerce Experience (NCE).
In practice, this means several significant changes in price and flexibility for both EMP Secure as a partner and for end customers of these products.
The program mainly consists of 3 options for licensing where each customer must decide which option, or combination of options, will work best for them.
EMP Secure will be able to give good advice here so that together we arrive at the optimal solution for your particular company.
You spread the total number of licenses you have between the alternatives, eg: You have a total of 100 licenses on M365 E5 and choose to distribute these as follows:
From this date, customers can choose to change their subscription from CSP to NCE. If you then choose to change to NCE alternative B (12-month binding), you in practice postpone Microsoft's announced price increase which takes place from 1 March 2022 until the binding on NCE has expired.
Option C is made available.
